Goldsmith passed away at the age of 96 in his home. He was the son of Harry and Florence who predeceased him ; brother of Roger (Barbara) Goldsmith; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Casey and Roberta VandenBroek; brother-in-law, Burt DeVos. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife of 73 years, Virginia May Goldsmith; daughter, Barb (Bill) Proos, grandson, Tim (Barb) Proos; granddaughter, Julie Aben; great grandchildren, Ashley Morgan, Cassie Aben, Valerie Aben, Clayton J. Aben; and their father, Mark Aben. Also surviving were brother-in-law, Wes (Margaret) VandenBroek; sister-in-law, Eloise DeVos; many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Clayton was the owner of Lampens' Bike Shop, and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Virginia. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, woodworking, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Clayton and Virginia were longtime members of both Egypt Valley and Greenridge Country Clubs. Dr. Martha Ording and the staff of Faith Hospice were given special Thanks.
