Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late William and Sadie (Wark) Hamilton. Beatrice worked for many years at Standfield's Ltd., Truro. She was a member of the Seniors Bowling League. She is survived by her common-law husband Joseph Lavers; son Robert (Darlene) of Abercrombie, Pictou Co.; daughters, Althea (Ross) Brown of Valley, Colchester County; Audrey Robertson of Hilden; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jodi, Jackie, Shaun, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Iain, Andrew; brothers, Douglas (Eileen) Hamilton of Truro, Fred (Joyce) Hamilton of Bible Hill. She was predeceased by her first husband, Maurice Austin; second husband Richard Cox; brother Hector Hamilton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday and funeral service 2 pm Saturday, all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley.
