Born in Hilden, he was a son of the late Robert and Anna (Marshall) Smith. Thomas was a dairy farmer all of his life and served on the Executive of the Nova Scotia Woodlot Owners Association for many years. He was a lifetime Elder of St. Andrews United Church, Truro. Thomas is survived by his wife, Alice (Kennedy); daughter, Anne (Aldo) Paz-Guevara, Baltimore; sons, Robert, Ottawa; Elroy Wayne (Marnie), Hilden; Donald, Lower Sackville; Raymond (Barbara), Moncton; Lloyd, Waterville, ME; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Apgar, Baltimore; Mary (Charles) Scott, London, ON; Rosalie (Tony) Cullen, Sacramento, CA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4th from 7-9 p.m. with a memorial service Thursday, June 5th, at 11 a.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev.
