"Nellie" (Jones) Lightbody, wife of the late Russell L. Lightbody, and daughter of the late Charles B. and Annie E. (Allen) Jones, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at home. She was 98 years old. Born in Southborough, she lived in Framingham all of her life. Mrs. Lightbody was a former Vice Grand of Aurelia Rebekah Lodge of Ashland and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She served as past president of D.A.V. Auxiliary of Framingham, past president of the James J. McGrath Auxiliary in Framingham, and past president/chaplain of the Saxonville Auxiliary. Mrs. Lightbody worked for years in the interest of the Pine Street Inn. She leaves a son, Russell G. Lightbody and his wife Cathy of Framingham, a daughter, Faye E. Cripps of Ashland; four grandchildren: Donna L. Cripps of Framingham, Richard R. Cripps of Gilroy, Calif., Keith Lightbody of Framingham, Timothy Lightbody of Fountain Valley, Calif.; five great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Jennifer, Meredith, and Michael Lightbody, and Ana Cripps, all of California. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ella G. Lightbody to the charity of your choice.
