Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Malcolm and Lucy (Carter) Weatherbee, Hilden. Kim was a very loving wife and mother to her seven children. She was a giving person and served in various ministries at The People's Church, where she was a member. She loved the Lord and trusted Him from the time she was a teenager to be her Saviour. Kim graduated from Aberdeen Nursing Program in New Glasgow as an R.N. She furthered her education at Success College, where she graduated with honors in the Medical Administration Assistant Program. Kim was employed at the office of Dr. Marilyn MacPherson and had previously worked at MacQuarries Pharmasave. She was an amazing woman who gave of herself in so many ways. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Besides her parents, Kim is survived by her husband, Glenn, and children, Lindsay, Brett, Chase, Kirby, Mandy, Allison and Regan, all at home; sister, Tanya Allain; brother, Shayne (Lisa), both of Hilden; mother-in-law, Mildred (Taylor) Mayhue, Truro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by sister, Denise Veenhuis; brother, Stacy; grandparents, Hollis and Winnie Carter, Ernest and Nina Weatherbee; father-in-law, Keith Taylor. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, September 4, in The People's Church, 15 Elm St., Truro, Pastors Chesley MacKenzie and Ken Filmore officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colchester Christian Academy or Gideon Bibles.
