Richard Deacon, volunteer in the two Riel rebellions and first certified steamboat captain on the Saskatchewan River, died here to-day. She was born in Kildonan, Man., in 1852, daughter of Mrs and Mrs Morrison McBeath, two of the original Selkirk settlers. March 28 1935
