  • Obituary: Johnson (Langille), Carol Ann '96 passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, peacefully with family by her side. Born on December 7, 1946 in Truro to the late John and Freda (Bartlett) Langille. As a young girl she had a great passion for horses and had many fond memories of the family owned horse riding school in Brookside. This is where she met and fell in love with her husband. For the last several years she enjoyed summers at the family cottage in Marshville with her grandchildren; celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversary and daughter's wedding most recently. Carol leaves behind her best friend and husband, Ralph of 52 years; children, Brian, Mark (Debbie), Lori (Troy) Brown and her grandchildren, Aidan and Kai; as well as her furry companion, Benji. She also leaves behind loving siblings; brothers, Robert "Bob" (Vangie) Langille, John (Elenor) Langille; sisters, Diane Lindsay and Claudia Cavanaugh; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father and mother-in-law, Wesley "Sam" and Delia Johnson also brothers-in-law, Kenneth Johnson, Blair McNutt and Leonard Cavanaugh. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Rod McKinney, Dr. Nadour, Dr. J Singh, all of the staff in the I.C.U. department especially Amanda, R.N. As per Carol's wishes a Graveside Service will be held for family and friends at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Friday, May 26 from 4-7pm in the MacDonald Room at the Best Western Glengarry, 150 Willow St, Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, S.P.C.A. or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
