Grover, 66, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Adams Health Care Center, Adams, Minnesota. She was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Richard and Gae (Greenlee) Grover. After attending Austin Public Schools, Kathleen graduated from the Brown Institute in 1977 with a broadcast license. She worked at KAAL-TV for 11 years and then attended the Minnesota School of Business from 2001-2003, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Networking. After moving to the Twin Cities, Kathleen continued her career as a TV engineer. In 2007, poor health forced Kathy to retire. She returned to Austin in 2009. Among her favorite pastimes were crocheting, camping and tubing. She lived for the weekends with her family at "the land," where they enjoyed holding family talent contests. Kathy especially loved the annual outings taken with her sisters. Survivors include her son J.T. Grover of Madison, Wisconsin; her daughter Jane Beck of North Carolina; three brothers: Dick (Linda) Grover of Harmony, Minnesota, Bill (Mary) Grover of Adams, Minnesota, and Fred Grover also of Adams; four sisters: Shirley Brown and Linda (Mike) Burzinski, both of Austin, Minnesota, Debbie Roberts of Harmony, Minnesota, and Joy Metz of Austin, Minnesota; brother-in-law Don Hall, also of Austin; her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Gae Grover; and four sisters; Sharon Leier, Jeanne Fox, Phyllis Hall and Patty Grover. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at Crane Community Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dale Christiansen officiating. The Grover Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church, immediately preceding the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
