Born to Leonard A. and Ada Velona (Totten) McGill in Wallace, Nova Scotia on May 6, 1930. Lloyd was the 10th of 11 children. While still a young boy his family moved to a farm in Wentworth, NS. Where he learned to work at farming, lumbering woods, working at a lumber mill and trucking. After marrying the love of his life, Roxella Susan Blenkhorn, in 1950, he moved to Truro, NS and went to work on the railroad before moving into car sales. Lloyd eventually opened his own car dealership and was very successful, retiring at age 59. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, all children and spending time with family and friends.
