Obituary: Blenkhorn, David Truman '96 79, Tatamagouche, passed away October 6, 2009 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Wallace and Levita (Fisher) Blenkhorn. David was a truck driver for many years retiring from Eastern Transport and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are sons, Harold, Moncton; Raymond, Truro; daughter, Rosella Pye (Brian White), Streets Ridge; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; niece, Cathy Shortt and husband, David with whom he lived; sisters, Roxella McGill (Lloyd), Alberta; Mary Holloway, Cape Breton; Ruth Arsenault (Walt), Alberta; Stella Kaulback (Carl), Five Houses; brother, Edward (Violet), Tatamagouche; sister-in-law, Irene Blenkhorn; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian MacKenzie; son, David Jr.; daughter-in-law, Ruth; granddaughter, Kimberly; 2 infant children; brothers, Cecil, Walter and Kenny. Visitation will be held today, 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 8, Rev. Morley Bentley officiating, all in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288), 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche, NS, B0K 1V0. Burial will be in Four Oaks Cemetery, West Tatamagouche. No flowers by request.
