  • Obituary: Adrian H. Lindsey, 84, a professor emeritus of economics at UMass- Amherst, died Monday in Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. Born in Bryan, Ohio, Mr. Lindsey taught briefly at Auburn University in Alabama before joining the faculty at UMass-Amherst in l929. He retired in 1959. Mr. Lindsey was graduated from the University of Illinois in 1922, and received a master's degree from Iowa State College in 1923, and a doctoratefrom Iowa State University in 1929. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Amherst for 60 years, a member of the Bryan Lodge of Masons in Bryan, Ohio, and a lifetime member of the New England Agriculture Economics Council. Mr. Lindsey leaves his wife, Carra R. (Nendick); two daughters, Jeanne L. Balcom of Newton and Carolyn R. Ferguson of Sheridan, Wyo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Wesley Methodist Church, Amherst. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Amherst. Boston Globe Boston,MA May 20,1981
