  • Obituary: HAMILTON, Ruby Jean, 82, Middle Musquodoboit, passed away April 2, 2009, in St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna (Reid) Fisher. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being a member of the Musquodoboit Valley Weeders Club. Old time music was a large part of her social life, and most Saturday nights she could be found at the dances with her husband, Gerald. She was a member of Middleton United Church where she always took part in their activities. Her family was important to her and she looked forward to her trips to British Columbia. She will be greatly missed by her children, Sandra (Clansey) Cameron, Milford; Blaine (Cindy), Karen (Vernon) Killen, Brian (Kimberly), all of Middle Musquodoboit; grandchildren, Gerald, Robbie, Adam, Steven, Stacy, Courtney, Daniel and Brison; sisters, Louisa Hamilton, Williams Lake, B.C.; Gwen (Donald) Wright, Upper Musquodoboit; brother, Roy (Jean) Fisher, Williams Lake, B.C.; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; sisters, Frances, Annie; brothers, Alvin and Arthur. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Marjory Cornelius officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Pioneer Cemetery.
