• Obituary: The Amherst Citizen Kelsea (Ted) Carter NAPPAN - Kelsea (Ted) Carter age 92, of Stanley Road, Cumberland County passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Leicester, he was a son of the late Silas and Mary (Johnston) Carter.Ted is survived by daughters Alma (Chris) Matthews-Hansen of Brockville, ON and Phyllis Tyler of Edmonton, AB, son Douglas (Colette) of Amherst, grandchildren Deborah (Glen), Janice (Stewart), Angela, Jason, Darrin (Sandra), Joanna, Glen, Brianne, Aaron and Maura, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife the former Audrey Field, son Raymond, sisters Florence Bowser, Inez MacEachern and Jen Flynn and one brother Bert.Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 30 from Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Bob Mack officiating. Interment will take place in the East Leicester Cemetery.
