  • Obituary: Lemuel R. MOORE has been given up by Dr. Chapman. Dr. McDonald was telegraphed for on Sunday. A telegram was also sent to C.A. MOORE who is attending Normal School, to come home. - Since writing past of these notes the death of L.R. Moore has occurred. He died Tuesday morn. about 5 o'clock surrounded by his wife, children and many of his near relatives. His son Archie MOORE did not arrive until after the decease. The funeral is to take place Thursday. Both departments of the school have been closed until after the funeral. The Maple Leaf Albert,NB April 18 1895 Albert (Albert Co.) N.B. April 16 - Lemuel R. MOORE eldest s/o Charles H. MOORE of Hopewell Hill, died this morn. at his home in that village, age 52 years. The deceased had for many years been connected with the Sons of Temperance in this province and at one time was treasurer of the Grand Division of N.B. He was at the time of his death and for many years previous D.G. Worthy Patriarch of the Golden Rule division. The deceased had for more that twenty years held the office of secretary to the board of school trustees. On several occasions he was auditor of the municipality of Albert. The deceased leaves a wife, the daughter of John ROGERS of Hopewell and three sons and two daughters, C. Archie MOORE, now at the Normal School; Donald M. MOORE and J. Dodge MOORE; Miss Ella K. MOORE and Mrs. Fred E. ROGERS, all of Hopewell. The Daily Sun Saint John,NB April 17,1895
