She was born on May 9, 1920, in Canada, daughter to the late Raymond and Minnie (Stockford) Atwater. Virginia grew up in Maine and was a graduate of Mapleton High School. She was married to Arnold Eaton in August of 1944 and together they settled in Windsor, CT. She was proud to become a U.S. Citizen in 1950. A kind, caring and devoted, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all. She leaves her sons, Gregory Eaton and his wife Patricia of Wilbraham, MA, Curtis Eaton and his wife Karlene of Windsor and Chris Eaton and his wife Raina of Jefferson, NH; her brother, Harmon Atwater and his wife Dawn of Tulare, CA; her sister-in-law, Frances "Honey" Atwater of South Windsor; her cousin, Ben Zullo and family of Cheshire; five grandchildren, Janice Dunham, Drew Eaton, Brittany, Ashleigh and Aaron Eaton and two great grandchildren, Cole and Waylon Dunham. She was predeceased by her beloved cousin, Carol Zullo of Cheshire. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 2 to 4p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor; followed by a Memorial Service at 4pm.
