Born in Richmond, he was a son of the late Charles and Pearl (Briggs) Stevens. Raymond had worked at the hydro plant at Niagra Falls before moving back to Pugwash where he worked at the Canadian Rock Salt Mine. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 69, Pugwash. Surviving are his special lady friend, April Ferdinand (Carl, Cindy, James and C.J.); children, David (Darlene), Calgary; Terry (Gina), Amherst; Kathy Donohoe, Calgary; Sherry (Rob) Piercey, Halifax; Glen (Susan), Pugwash; Mark (Carole), Paul and April Turgeon, all of Halifax; grandchildren, Annalee, Matthew; Cameron, Abagail, Jesse; M. Tyler, Kathryn; Logan; Cody, Colby, Alanna; Kayleigh, Luke; Maddex; Maddison, Jackson; great-grandchildren, Paige, Kinsley and Bennett; three brothers, two sisters; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Karen (MacDonald) Stevens; daughters, Patricia Anne and Jacqueline Perlene; two brothers. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, all in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (902) 243-2506. Rev.
