  • Obituary: 1938 ~ LANGILLE ~ 2011 Alfred "Al" Fulton Langille, beloved husband of Eunice Bernice Langille of Redcliff, passed away on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years. Al leaves to cherish his memory his wife and soul mate Eunice; son, Darren (Carole) Langille and grandson, Steven of Bowell, AB; daughter, Tina (Ben) Biro and grandchildren, Taylor, Jocelyn and Ryley of Athabasca, AB; daughter, Teresa (Troy) Houff and grandsons, Logan, Lyndon and Bradin of Hanna, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Charles (Charlene) Langille of Pugwash Jct., NS and Wilbert (Linda) Langille of Redcliff, AB; and his sisters, Carole (Lloyd) Smith of Lamont, AB, Betty (Jeff) Milner of Amherst, NS, Marilyn (Eddie) Chatfield of Pugwash Jct., and Joycelyn (Andy) Yarrow of Pugwash Jct. Al was predeceased by a son, John; his parents, Bedford and Violet; and one brother, Raymond. Al was born on December 30th, 1938 in Malgash, NS. He made his way west at an early age. In Saskatchewan he met and married Eunice. They spent the early years of their marriage primarily in Halbrite, SK. It was in SK that Darren and John were born. They settled in Redcliff in 1964 and completed their family with the births of Tina and Teresa. For many years he owned and operated Langille Bros. Trucking where he hauled over dimensional loads throughout western Canada. He retired from that in 1989 when he started L&B Sharpening with his wife, Eunice. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, neighbor and friend. Al enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Trudeau, Dr. Foley, and the staff in the Medicine Hat Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Unit at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. A Celebration of Al's Life will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Bob Findley officiating.
