Born in Halifax he was the son of the late William Charles and Rose (Ennis) Groom. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma (Langille); sons, Michael (Glenda Roache), Dartmouth; David, Tantallon; Jeffrey (Sheilagh LaPier), Dartmouth; Craig (Rosella Shaw), Porters Lake.; grandchildren, Scott (Jocelyn Whalen), Miranda, (Ken), Cheryl, Jennifer (Brad), Matthew, Laryn and Danika; great- grandchildren, Chloe, Kenneth, Kaylee Mae; sisters. Donna Fultz, Dartmouth; Pam Brown, Pickering, Ont. He was predeceased by brothers, William and Robert; sisters, Mildred, Ruby and Beverley.
