  • Obituary: Alice May Munro nee Langille, 78, of St Josephs, Antigonish and formerly of Cross Roads Country Harbour, Guysborough County passed away quietly on November 7, 2013 in St Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Her son, Gary was with her as she lost her brave battle with lung cancer. Born in Pictou, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Jennie (Shea)Langille. Alice was employed at Bickerton Industries in Port Bickerton until she retired in 1998. She had previously worked in the forestry and manufacturing industries in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Alice was a proud grandmother and is survived by her 5 grandchildren: Sven, Ontario; Martina, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Jennifer, Ontario; Michelle, Swan Hill, Alberta; Eric, St. Josephs, Antigonish Co.; her sons: Wayne (Astrid), Espanola, Ontario; Gary (Veronica DeYoung), St. Josephs, Antigonish, NS. Her Brothers, all residing in Ontario: Charles (Donna); Eric (Linda), Terry (Edna), and Wayne; her sisters, all residing in Ontario: Hilda (Ray Misner); Shirley (Tom Pooler); Norma (Ken Davidson); Grace (Judson Emmett) Alice was pre-deceased by her mother, Jennie; father, Eldon; sister, Betty; and partner, Graham Mason Visitation is being held Sunday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Curry's Funeral Home, 135 College St, Antigonish.
