Born in Truro, she was the daughter of Bonita Staples and the late Keith Staples. Cindy grew up in Belmont and later moved to the Annapolis Valley, where she spent many years. That is where she met the love of her life, Chris. After Cindy’s cancer became terminal, she and Chris moved to British Columbia. Her dreams were to move out of Nova Scotia and to live to be 50, both of which she accomplished. Cindy is survived by her long-time partner, Chris Elson; her daughter, Ashley (Matt); grandkids, Logan, Avery and Emma; mother, Bonita; brothers, Keith, Robert (Francie) and Matt (Rachel); as well as nieces and nephews; Anna, Jared, Danika, Hayden, Erica and Paisley. She will be especially missed by her fur baby, Diesel. Cindy is predeceased by her father, Keith. Donations in Cindy’s memory can be made to the Belmont Baptist Church.
