Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Laurie Jane (Teed) Turner. She was the wife of the late Gary Pratt. Diane was an adherent of Belmont Baptist Church. She is survived by her sisters, Nellie (Charles) Rhuland and Faye (Sonny) Roode; brothers, Darrell (Ruth) and Donald (Karen), all of Belmont; her special great-nephews, Chandler and Lucas; several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her best friend and companion, her dog, Gizmo. Diane was also predeceased by her nephew, Terry Lee Jamieson. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Cy Mersereau presiding, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Interment will be held in Belmont Cemetery in the spring. Donations to the Hemo-Dialysis Unit-Dickson Centre in Halifax, Truro Branch of Victorian Order of Nurses or Belmont Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
