  • Obituary: DILL, R. Ellsworth - 84, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, and formerly of Pugwash Junction, Cumberland Co., passed away in the lodge on Thursday, November 25, 2004. Born in Pugwash Junction, he was a son of the late Robert Wylie and Myrtle (VanBuskirk) Dill. He was self-employed in the lumber industry for 38 years. Following this he was employed with Kent Homes Ltd. in Debert for 10 years. Prior to his retirement, he was a dealer in antiques. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his daughter, Tanya "Tammy" Dill, Pugwash Junction; stepdaughter, Carolyn B. Thomson, Pugwash Junction; stepsons, Ronald Spicer, Ontario; Hilton Spicer, British Columbia; Victor Spicer, Truro; several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by stepsons, Gerald Spicer and John Spicer; brother, Wylie Dill. Cremation has taken place at the request of the deceased. A graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 29, in Riverside Cemetery in Wallace River with Rev. David Young officiating.
