  • Obituary: Spicer, Victor Gordon, 70, Lower Onslow, passed away June 21, 2009 surrounded by family in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Malagash he was the son of the late Oscar and Bertha (Dill) Spicer. Victor had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed restoring classic cars. He was always willing to help others and was famous for his "to do" lists. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta Elwood; daughters, Dianne "Leigh" Spicer, Duncan, B.C., Tanya Elizabeth Ann Spicer, Truro; sisters, Carolyn Thomson, Tammy Dill, both of Pugwash Junction; brothers, Ronald, Cochrane, ON, Hilton (Pat), St. Catherines, ON; sister-in-law, Margaret Spicer, North River; grandchildren, Jeremy and Keigan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Gerald and John; sister-in-law, Catherine Spicer. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 25th at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. Interment at a later date.
