  • Obituary: FRASER, William Ellsworth, 75, Woodfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Bloomfield,Pictou Co, he was the son of the late William Burton and Catherine Olive (MacIntosh) Fraser. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Blue Mountain, where he served on the Board of Managers. Prior to retirement, Ellsworth was employed with the Nova Scotia Department of Highways and C&G Williams Ltd. Following retirement, he enjoyed farming, Christmas tree growing, harvesting blueberries and maple syrup. Ellsworth enjoyed the forest, hunting, fishing, playing guitar and listening to old-time music. He was a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Minetta Ann (Langille); daughters, Glenda (Ronnie) Fraser, Garden of Eden; Gloria (David) Dorion, Hilden; Wendy Fraser(Craig MacDonald), Brookfield; sons, Robert (Marlene), The Ponds; Kevin (Tracy), Sutherland's River; sister Muriel Foote, New Glasgow; brother Brian Fraser, Woodfield; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by daughters, Lorna Jane Fraser and Catherine Roma Wynn Forsyth, sister Joyce MacMillan. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7 -9 pm Sunday in P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday in Knox Presbyterian Church, Blue Mountain, with Pastor Pat Wilson officiating. Internment will follow in Garden of Eden Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to Knox Presbyterian Church.
