Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Viola (Baillie) Langille. Joyce was a well-known hairdresser in the Truro area for many years operating White Lantern Beauty Salon. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid bowler, Toronto Blue Jays fan and was an excellent baker. Joyce was a big fan of Christmas, with her home always being well decorated for the season. She a regular Tim Hortons customer, always enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Donna Lee Mingo, Halifax; Carla (Kevin) McNutt, Murray Siding; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Wladyko, Edmonton, Alta, Michael (Stephanie) McNutt, Truro; great grandchildren, Zander Pearce, Liam and Carter Wladyko and Tanner McNutt; sister, Velma McKenzie, Moncton; sister-in-law, Janice (Warren) Jollimore; brother-in-law, Al Symes as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wyman Mingo in 2015; granddaughter, Michelle Pearce; sisters, Irene (Cy) Langille and Lee Rae. There will be no visitation by request. A Graveside Committal Service will be held in The Falls Cemetery on Sunday, November 12 at 1:30pm with Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. A Reception will follow at Joyce's home on Evergreen Drive in Princeton Heights. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit of CEHHC especially Dr. Kelly and Dr. Henderson as well as to the housekeeping staff for their compassion and care.
