  • Obituary: LANGILLE, Shurman — 77, Malagash, passed away at home, November 10, 2009. Born in Malagash, he was a son of the late Arthur M. and Hattie V. (Jamieson) Langille. Shurman was always busy working at something. He was a dairy farmer for approximately 25 years, worked at the salt mine in Pugwash and later drove the school bus. He enjoyed working in the woods, working on machinery, watching horse racing and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth Atwell; daughters, Ruth Brownell (Colin), Pugwash; Elizabeth Tattrie (Kevin Smith), Windsor; grandchildren, Justin Brownell, Colby Tattrie, Lesley Tattrie, Hayley Tattrie and Tristan Smith; brothers, Doug, Bible Hill; Burton and Winston, both of Malagash; sister-in-law, Helen Langille, Bayhead; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Oman, Charles, Almon and Gordon in infancy. Visitation will be held this evening 7-9 p.m. in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288), 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 13, in Malagash United Church, Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Burial will be in South Shore Cemetery, Malagash. Family flowers only by request. Memorial donations can be made to South Shore Cemetery.
