  • Obituary: September 13, 1989. Dartmouth - Allison Edgar ROODE, 567 Dartmouth, formerly of East Earltown, died Wednesday in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Earltown, he was a son of the late Lewis and Lenora (NICHOLS) ROODE. He worked for the government paving the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge and worked with Day and Ross. He is survived by his ex-wife, the former Marie MURRAY; a son, Ronnie, Hamilton, Ont.; six daughters, Bonnie (Mrs. Marty ROBBINS), Truro; Jean PATRIQUIN, River John; Joyce, Wanda MacLEOD, Linda, all of Tatamagouche; Donna, Truro; a sister, Clara LATIMER, Tatamagouche; 10 grandchildren three nieces. He was predeceased by an infant sister. The body is in MacLeod Funeral Home, River, John, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Carmen BURNS officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Denmark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital or Forest Hill Cemetery.
