  • Obituary: LANGILLE, Lola - The family of Lola Mae (Reeves) Langille are sad to announce her death in Lower Sackville on October 2, 2008. Lola was born in Richmond, Cumberland Co. She is survived by her children, Sharon, Toronto, Ont.; Barbara (Billy), Lower Sackville; Peggy, Lower Sackville and Brian, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Rhonda, Carrie Lynn, Jeffery, Troy and Crystal; great-grandchildren , Cody, Brittany, Danielle, Sarah, Brooke and Jacob; sister, Verna (Billy) MacLean; brothers, Carl (Gladys) Reeves and John (Bonnie) Reeves and her loving partner of three years, Gerald Langille. Lola was predeceased by her parents, Dayton and Sadie Reeves; husband, Almon; infant son, Dale; sister, Rita MacMillan and great-granddaughter , Robin Fyfe. Lola was Postmistress in Malagash for several years, and worked at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She was active in the United Church congregations of the communities she lived in, and is remembered for her loving generosity and her wonderful sense of humor. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506) from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, Rev. Meggin King officiating. Burial in Wallace Bay Cemetery with a reception to follow in Wesley- St. Matthew United Church, Pugwash. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wallace Bay Cemetery, the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash or Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
