  • Obituary: FEBRUARY 1976 LESLIE CARSON LANGILLE - Tatamagouche - Leslie Carson LANGILLE passed away at Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 41 years on Thursday, Feb. 5. He was the oldest son of Mrs. Mary LANGILLE, and the late Leslie LANGILLE of Tatamagouche. He was a transport driver for Walmer Transport Company, Hamilton, for 18 years and had received his 16th consecutive award for safe driving. Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Jean (THEOBOLD), two sons, Leslie and David, a daughter, Linda, all at home and a brother, Clayton, of Bible Hill. On Friday evening a service was held at J.B. MARLOTT Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. by Rev. John MacPHAIL of St. David's United Church, Hamilton. The body rested at Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, and service was held at 2 p.m., on Monday in Sharon United Church with Rev. Donald MURRAY officiating, who read "A Trucker's Prayer", based on the 23rd Psalm. The choir sang "Abide with Me", and John F. COULTER sang a solo, "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were close friends, Boyd LANGILLE, Allan LOCKEBY, George ROBERTS, Billy MATHESON, Merle HAYMAN and Leland CAMERON. There were many floral tributes, memorials to Fraser Memorial Hospital, Cancer Society, Heart Fund, Bayhead Church as well as monetary donations.
