She was the former Elsie Myrtle McNUTT, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McNUTT of Saint John. Born at Cape George, Pictou County, she lived at Truro, New Glasgow and Saint John. She taught in Nova Scotia Schools for slightly more than 19 years, and her efforts as such were praiseworthy. Besides her husband she is survived by six children, Alice (Mrs. Richard DWINEL) of Halifax; Elizabeth (Mrs. Clarence VAUSE), Millbrook; Sylvia (Mrs. Ronald ROSS), Waldegrave; Carrie (Mrs. Halton DALZELL), Grand Manan, N.B.; Arthur of Calgary and Fred of Oshawa; three sisters, Caroline McNUTT of Saint John; Mrs. Frank WARDEN of Toronto; Mrs. George MELVIN, Saint John; one brother, George McNUTT of Bassam, Alberta. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest and Colin. The funeral service was held from New Annan United Church of which the deceased was a member. Rev. Gordon DECKER officiated.
