LANGILLE which occurred on Friday night, June 29. Although he had been in failing health for the past two years his passing away came as a shock to his family and friends. Deceased was a son of the late William and Mary LANGILLE, and was born January 1, 1872, at French River. For a number of years he resided on a farm at Millbrook but for the past 23 years had resided in Tatamagouche. Besides farming, he was a prominent lumberman for a number of years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Sarah LANGILLE, he leaves to mourn, three daughters, Agnes, (Mrs. L.G. ANNIS), Susan, (Mrs. A.G. MacBURNIE), Tatamagouche, Beatrice, (Mrs. Ben ROBERTS), Debert, two sons, Earl and Leslie, both of Tatamagouche, two sisters, Cecilia, (Mrs. John AITCHESON), Millbrook, Bertha, (Mrs. James VINCENT), Inverness, Montana, three brothers George and Ellsworth of Tatamagouche and Wilburt of Concord, Mass., also six grandchildren. His brothers, Boyd, predeceased him 20 years ago, Ben, 10 years ago, James, 2 years ago, and a sister Mary, (Mrs. James MacLELLAN) 3 years ago. The funeral service was held at the residence on Sunday afternoon, Jul 1 and was conducted by Rev. G.W. BRUCE, assisted by Rev. G.E. WHIDDEN. Favorite Hymns including "The Lord's My Shepherd" and the "Church's one Foundation" were sung and his nephew, Roland LANGILLE sang very beautifully, "Shadows," as a solo. The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased George and Wilburt AITCHESON and Fred A. GEORGE and Wilburt AITCHESON and Fred A. LANGILLE, Millbrook, Dr. James LANGILLE, Amherst and Cecil and Hector LANGILLE of Tatamagouche. Interment was in the Sunny Brae Cemetery.
