Born in Tatamagouche, NS on May 1, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Alvah and Rhoda (Patriquin) MacKinnon. Evelyn was a long time member of St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church, Wallace, and a member of the Atlantic Missionary League. She was also a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Fox Harbour since 1957. In her later years, she enjoyed her trips to Florida for the winter months and the people that she encountered there. She was a wonderful, loving mother, sister, aunt and a very good friend to all she had the pleasure of knowing. She is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy (Paul) Gatchell, Pugwash; sister, Martha Tattrie, Oromocto, NB; brothers, James (Irene) MacKinnon, Burkes Falls, ON; Curtis (Winnie) MacKinnon, Tatamagouche; daughter-in-law, Terri Jamieson and her family, Edmonton, AB; special daughter and family, Tina (Richard) Wilson, Danielle and Olivia, Pugwash; many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to nephew Art and Margaret Dalton for all the love and support shown to our family throughout the years. She was predeceased by her first husband Damien Langille (1953), daughter, Elizabeth Anne Langille (1993), second husband, Trueman Jamieson (2002), son Jeffrey Jamieson (2006), sisters, Margaret (in infancy), Ella Hansford, Annie Dalton, Alice Weatherby, Lulu Kent, Mabel Henriksen, brother Parker McKinnon. Visitation will be held in St. Matthew`s Presbyterian Church, Wallace, on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm from where Rev. Mary Anne Grant will conduct the funeral service directly following the visitation. Private burial to follow in the Wallace Cemetery. All are invited to stay and enjoy refreshments and fellowship after the service.
