Notes

  • Occupation: Labourer
  • Marriage Notice: George Percy Langille & Annie Jeanetta MacAuley December 3, 1925 WEDDING BELLS - LANGILLE - McAULAY One of the most interesting events of the season in this locality took place on Thursday evening, Dec 3,1925 at 7 p.m., when Miss Annie McAULAY of Fox Harbor, became the bride of Mr. Percy LANGILLE, son of Mr. & Mrs. Hudson LANGILLE of North Wallace Point. The happy couple accompanied by the groom's brother, Mr. Vincent LANGILLE and his sisters, Misses Lena and Mabel LANGILLE, motored to St. Matthew's Manse, Wallace, where Rev. A.S. WEIR, B.A., performed the ceremony, after which they journeyed to the home of the bride in Fox Harbor, where they were given a splendid wedding reception. The bride and groom were obliged to come to the door in four different occasions to welcome the different companies as they arrived from the surrounding districts, armed with guns, horns, bells, pans, etc. A delicious buffet luncheon was served also different kinds of candy and cigars. The bride looked very beautiful in a dress of navy silk canton crepe with hat, shoes and gloves to match. She wore a navy coat with grey fur trimming. Upwards of a hundred guests were present. The bride and groom were the recipients of many valuable and useful gifts, including a valuable check from the bride's father. That happiness and prosperity may attend; Mr. & Mrs. LANGILLE is the wish of host of friends in their parts. Oxford Journal
