Boyd was born on December 30, 1923 and raised in Bakersfield, CA. He and Dixie Moran were married on May 26, 1945 and have been residents of Fullerton for 62 years. He was a draftsman for Standard Oil in La Habra for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Dixie; daughter, Jody Thomas and husband, Ron; sons, Crew and Charlotte Chamberlain, Cone and Ettamay Chamberlain, Moe and Dorie Chamberlain; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Moran and Charle Jones. Boyd greeted everyone with a smile. He was rich in family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assistance League of Fullerton or Muckenthaler Cultural Center in memory of Boyd Chamberlain.
