Brendon was a loving father, an inspired home-cook, and a science fiction enthusiast. He was a gifted conversation partner who could discuss almost anything cogently. Growing-up Brendon loved hiking and biking around the Kittitas Valley, spending time with friends, and travelling with his parents and sister on their research sabbaticals for the Geography Department at Central Washington University. Brendon attended CWU in Ellensburg, WA, where he met his wife of 30+ years Heidi; they married in 1986 and moved to Seattle. One of his greatest adventures was travelling the world (14 countries) for six months with Heidi and their children Lauren and Quinn in 1997. Upon return from that adventure, the family relocated to Bellevue, WA where Brendon started working in the construction sector first as an accountant with Sequoyah Electric in Kirkland and later as the Information Manager for BNBuilders in downtown Seattle.
