He was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Medford, Mass. Dr. Campbell was a staff sergeant in the Air Force from 1952-56, and later worked in the U.S. Department of Education for 27 years, retiring in 1993. Survivors include a son, Chuck Rentz of Nyack, N.Y.; four daughters, Heidi Ressler of Ellensburg, Kathryn and Erika Campbell, both of Seattle, and Lara Lant of Bainbridge Island; and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Feb. 17, at Port Madison Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
