Childs, age 88, passed away at home on March 29, 2022 following a brief illness while surrounded by his loving family. Carlton was the husband of the late Beverly (Terry) Childs of Raynham. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Ashley Childs & Eleanor (Erving) Childs. Carlton had resided in Taunton the past 20 years and was formerly of Raynham. He was employed for Market Basket the past 10 years and before that worked doing paving and asphalt. Carlton enjoyed attending NASCAR Races and watching them on television and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Carlton is survived by his children; Carlton H. Childs, Jr. and his wife Deb of Idaho, Rhonda Almeida and husband Gary of Raynham and Deborah Childs of Ashville, NC. And his grandchildren; Steven Costa, Matthew and Warren Childs, Daniel Almeida and his great grandson Jacob O'Connor. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O'Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA. on Thursday, April 7th from 5-7pm. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
