  • Obituary: Angevine, Ewart Mansfield - 87, Wallace Station, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at the High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Wallace, he was a son of the late Oliver and Matilda (Mingo) Angevine. Ewart had served overseas during the Second World War. (enlisting in 1939 and remaining until 1945) Following the war he had worked as a labourer doing various jobs throughout the area. He was a member of St. John's United Church, Wallace; the United Church Men's Club and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ewart was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins, including his favorite niece, Tamara (Tom) Colbourne, Kelowna B.C.. Besides his parents he was predeceased by siblings, James "Kenneth", Lena, Frances, Meredeth, Russell, Willard "Bill", Edgar, Anna, Douglas and Ernest. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Service of Remembrance will be held this fall at the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 60, Pugwash, with the date and time to be posted later. Donations in memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 60, Pugwash or the Angevine Cemetery, Wallace Station. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506).
