She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and was proud to have become a U.S. Citizen on Dec. 1, 1961. She moved to Yonkers, N.Y., in 1950, then to New Paltz, N.Y., in 1957, where she resided until moving to St. Augustine in 1997. She was a very skilled knitter and a great baker. She was also a very devoted mother, grandmother and caregiver. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Craig Memorial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined, but those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. She is survived by her five children, Cathy Repke, Stone Ridge, N.Y., Wayne Fraser, Gardiner, N.Y., Diane Lengyel, St. Augustine, Ernest Fraser, Accord, N.Y., and Fred Fraser, Gardiner, N.Y.; one brother, Rod Hyslop, Canada; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Melissa Fraser, Adam Fraser and Alex Lengyl; one sister, Shirley; and a brother, Junior.
