  • Obituary: McLellan, Charlotte Fulton, 86, Old Barns ?" It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Charlotte F. McLellan on July 3, 2008 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro with her family by her side. Born March 2, 1922 in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Murray and Jean (Kent) Ogilvie and the wife of the late Marshall McLellan. Charlotte was a lifetime member of St. Andrew's United Church, Truro. She was a loving, caring, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt with a big heart. Charlotte's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her kind and loving gentle spirit. She is survived by daughters, Ardyth (Doug) Lynds, Valley; Jean (Fulton) MacKenzie, Lower Truro; Evelyn (Fred) MacDonald, Peterborough, ON; Elaine Lucas, Truro; sons, Jerry (Julia), Old Barns; Ronald (Gail), Bathurst, NB; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; loving sisters, Bertha O'Brien, Lower Truro; Doris Hillier, Dartmouth; brothers, Stewart Ogilvie, Truro; Allan (Sally) Ogilvie, San Diego, California; sister-in-law, Inez McLellan, Bible Hill; brother-in-law, Don Roy, Truro; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Marshall; sisters, Nora, Shirley, Melba; sisters-in-law, Irene Ogilvie; Eileen McLellan; brothers-in-law, Jake Hillier, Cyril and John McLellan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th from 7-9 pm; funeral service on Monday, July 7th at 2:00 pm. both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. Interment in Robie Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation or the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Rowe and all the nurses on the 3rd and 4th floor of the hospital for being so kind to mom and "especially" to Darlene Gilliam, her home care person who took such wonderful care of mom and made it possible for her to stay at home.
