Notes

  • Obituary: This is an announcement of the passing of Medora Rose Archibald on January 5th, 2022 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro at 6:20 am. Born January 7th, 1939, Medora Rose Archibald was a woman of many talents, she enjoyed making fresh baked goods such as cakes, pies and especially bread that her nephew, Tim Currie just couldn't get enough of. She also loved tending to whatever she happened to have growing in her gardens such as flowers and vegetables. When her daughter Bonny moved home, Medora found peace, being able to plant flowers and just spending time with Bonny, tending to those flowers that they had planted together. In 1956, Medora met a young man named George Alton Archibald from Kempton and the two were married later that same year. From that union came daughters, Kim and Bonny and plunked in the middle son, Clifford. George and Medora were married 65 years before Medora's sudden passing. Medora was predeceased by her mother, Hazel Robertson, stepfather, Dexter Robertson and father, Frank Maclean; brother-in-law, Stuart Currie; sister, Sharon Savoie and brother-in-law, Sam Savoie; sisters, Brenda Maclean, Fran Parr and Sandra Weatherby; sister-in-law, Jessie Maclean; daughter, Kim Archibald Keewatin; son-in-law, Ron Keewatin and son, Clifford Archibald. Medora is survived by husband, George Alton Archibald; daughter, Bonny Takeda (Danny); grandson, Michael Archibald (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Brandon and Amelia; sister, Joan Currie and brothers, Phillip Maclean and Dave Maclean (Janet); sister, Marilyn Oakley (Mike) and many nieces and nephews. As per Medora's final wishes there will be no service held and a private family burial this summer. FLOWERS They are autographs of angels, penned In Nature's green-leaved book, in blended tints, Borrowed from rainbows and the sunset skies, And written everywhere'96on plain and hill, In lonely dells, 'mid crowded haunts of men. On the broad prairies, where no eye save God's May read their silent, sacred mysteries. Thank God for flowers! They gladden human hearts; Seraphic breathings part their fragrant lips With whisperings of Heaven. Flower Poems - Albert Laighton
