Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Charles Moss and Ada (McKenna) McNutt. He was a member of First United Church, Truro; the Oddfellows Lodge AM and FM, Truro, and the Historical Society. Before retirement he was a former employee of John W. Snook's Save Easy. He will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews; his housekeeper of 25 years, Joyce Cameron; his good neighbour who looked after him for five years, Rollie Stevens, and his lifelong friend, Lena Baird, California. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gertrude Lenore Steadman (Kentville); brother, Howard Fulton McNutt (Glace Bay). Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held today at 4 p.m. in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. David MacNaughton officiating with burial to follow in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro.
