He will be sadly missed by all who knew him especially his furry friend, Blondie. Wayne was a millwright for over 35 years, retiring in 1999. After his retirement, he enjoyed puttering in the garage, watching the birds and just being at home with friends and family. Wayne is survived by his wife, Annette (MacKay); mother, Rose (Morrisey), Truro; daughters, Cindy (Murray Clarke), Amherst; Debbie (Henry Fuchs), Ontario; sister, Marion, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jillian, Taylor, Alexander, Travis. He is also survived by his extended family, mother and father-in-law, Lewis and Mary MacKay, Sydney Mines; sisters-in-law, Nadine (Sam), Riverview and Natalie, Riverview; brother-in-law, Dwayne (Lisa) Mira; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Wayne is predeceased by his father, Thomas Austin Carter and brother-in-law, George Keeping. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 10:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in Lower Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Colchester Regional Hospital, the Lower Pleasant Valley Cemetery or a charity of choice.
