Born in Brookside, he was the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Fielding) Bartlett. He was a retired farmer, lumberman and construction worker. He is survived by his wife, the former Wilhelmina Robson; six daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Lloyd Bond), Queensville, Ont.; June (Mrs. Murray Cox) and Kathleen (Mrs. Arthur Veinott) both of Brookside; Helen (Mrs. Bill Sanderson), Sackville, N.B.; Marjorie (Mrs. Darrell Sanderson), Greenfield; Vonnie (Mrs. Hollis Carter), Hilden; five sons, Kenneth (Sonny) and Gilbert, both of Brookside; Donald, Woodstock, Ont.; Robert, Truro; Benny, North River; two sisters, Vera (Mrs. Joseph Conrod), Truro; Aletha, Malden, Mass.; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gail; three sisters; four brothers. The body is at Mattatall's Funeral Home, Truro.Funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m., Rev. Lloyd P. Barrows officiating, with burial in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
