Born in Stanley Section, Lunenburg Co., he as a son of the late Maurice and Mabel (Mader) Carver. Wilfred was a retired farmer, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved working in his woodlot. He was a member of Morristown United Baptist Church. Surviving are his son, Glendon (Kathleen) Carver; daughter, Diane (Glendon) Harris, all of Morristown; sisters, Marjorie Mailman and Helen Pentz, both of Bridgewater; stepmother, Mildred Carver, Hillsview Acres Home for Special Care, Middlefield; grandchildren, Kevin Carter, Angela Carver, Julia (Jeff) Robar, Natalie (Dave) LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Jacob Robar, Jocelyn Robar, Joshua LeBlanc; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Carrie (Lutz) Carver; grandson, Wilfred Frank Carver; brothers, Roy and Maurice Jr.; sisters, Jean and Anne. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service for Wilfred will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 2 p.m. in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, NS B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900), Rev. Brian Wheaton officiating, with a reception to follow at Morristown Community Centre. Burial in Morristown Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only.
