  • Obituary: Wilson, Helen Kathleen \emdash age 95, Morristown, Kings. Co., passed away surrounded by her family Monday, August 7, 2017 in Orchard Villa West, Berwick. Born June 13, 1922 in Rockland, Kings. Co., she was a daughter of the late Azie & Florence Lutz. Helen worked at Berwick Fruit Co. and at Mountain Crest Farm, while also farming alongside her late husband. She had a great love for her family, and she gave selflessly to look after them. She loved her children, and they loved coming to visit--her house was often filled with them. Ever active, she was an avid gardener and grew beautiful vegetables that she loved to share with her family. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed a long walk each day on the farm. She could be found playing on the lawn or cross-country skiing with her sisters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren well into her 80s. She was a tremendous cook, and her family were often the recipients of her biscuits, pies, pickles, and jams. Surviving are her children, Sheila Rafuse, Robert (Valerie) Wilson, Jeanne Wilson-Jones (Elmer), Marlene Wilson-Nichols (Doug); grandchildren Suzanne (Jamie) Burns, Charlene (Mark) Sherman, Sherri (John) Harding, Steven (Heather) Wilson, Heather (Troy) Collicutt, Karen (Shannon) Casey, Robert, Allyson (Rick) Sawler, Elaine, Elizabeth; step-grandchildren Rob Jones, Cheryl (Jason) Frieson; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Marie, Janice (Robert), Carolyn (Bill), Marina (Charles); brothers Robert (Maureen), Hardy (Jessi). Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Wilson; long-time friend William Keddy; sisters Bessie, Bertha, Carrie, Doris, Margaret, Rose; brothers Carleton, Ronnie, Whitney. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug., 10th at 2:00pm at Morristown Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Clements officiating. Interment with family only immediately following in Morristown Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Morristown Community Centre following the service. The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to staff at Valley Regional Hospital and Orchard Villa West for their kindness and gracious care. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
