  • Obituary: The children of Dorothy Donna (Gordon) Silver would like to let you know that our mom went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Hospice House Fredericton. Dorothy Silver was predeceased by her husband, Mylon Lewis Silver on October 28, 2016. She is survived by their 4 children Monica Gibson (Rod), Ruth Ann Burrill (Tim), Betty Lou Ferris (Peter) and Jonathan Silver (Karen); 14 grandchildren, Julie (Brandon) Cunningham, Peter (Miranda) Burrill, Luke (Paulette) Burrill, Danny Gibson, Jon (Katie) Gibson, Jimmy (Candice) Gibson, JD Silver, Tim (Jenn) Silver, Matthew (Stefanie) Silver, Sarah Silver, Rachel (Rob) Snell, Rebekah (Robert) Meyer, Joseph (Jaquelle) Ferris, and David Ferris, as well as 36 great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by sister Muriel Scott and brothers Robert Gordon, Lloyd Gordon (Betty Lou) and Emerson Gordon (Nancy), several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her parents Myrtle and Clarence Gordon in 1993 and baby sister Shirley Elizabeth. Dorothy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 65 years. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service will take place Wednesday January 15th, 2025, at1 PM from Calvary Baptist Church, 845 Regent Street, Fredericton with Rev. Matthew Silver officiating.
