  • Obituary: Robert P. Nolan, "Bob," age 78, formerly of Swansea, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was the husband of the late Myrna G. (Bezanson) Nolan. Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Jean and Yvette (Levesque) Nolan, he was a longtime resident of Swansea before relocating to Methuen. A graduate of New Bedford High School, he received his Bachelor's degree from UMass Dartmouth, formerly Southeastern Massachusetts University. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Nolan worked as a Clinical Lab Technician for Lifespan at both Rhode Island and Miriam Hospital for over twenty years before retiring in 2010. A communicant of St. Dominic's Church, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. An avid traveler, he enjoyed camping, fishing, animals, photography and reading a good book. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara A. Perry, Melissa G. Dugan, Joann M. Wasylean; one sister, Caroline Vogel; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his companion Eileen Hayes.
