Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Greta (Palmer) Elliott. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph and grandson Cole. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Lynn), Comox, BC; Ricky, Morden, NS; and daughter, Shelly (Darrell Pederson), Red Deer, AB. Grandchildren, Chyloe, Melbourne, Florida, US; Cara, Prospect Bay, NS; Chantelle, Lower Sackville, NS; and great granddaughter Remi, Lower Sackville, NS. Gerrie enjoyed summer trips across Canada on the truck with Ralph. She spoke fondly of those she met in her years spent walking the halls of West Kings High School. She was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society known as the 'Delightfully Dashing Debutantes' Kingston Chapter and traveled a bit of the world with the ladies she called her sisters. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and loved playing cards whether it was traveling the province with friends to play in crib tournaments or beating her son-in-law during her summer visits to 'The River'. She had a special wit about her and became a 'social butterfly' with the best stories to tell. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. At Gerrie's request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in Med A at the Valley Regional Hospital, VON Annapolis Valley and of course the ladies at 'Orchard View Apartments' in Berwick.
