  • Obituary: SPINNEY, Clinton Moore - 79, Aylesford, formerly of Greenwood Square, died March 5, 1994, at home. Born in Greenwood Square, Kings County, he was a son of the late Chipman L. and Martha O. (Nichols) Spinney. He owned and operated his own mixed farm in Greenwood Square and held various jobs after retiring from farming. He was a 46-year member of the Independent Order of Foresters of which he had held various positions. He was an active member of the Parkinson's Foundation of Canada and member of Greenwood Square Union Meeting House. He is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean (Mrs. Leslie Gaul), Ottawa; sister, Muriel Bishop, Aylesford; three grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Ellen (Nellie) Lynch; daughter, Shirley I. Kennedy; two sisters, Erdenna White, Bessie Cook. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Square Union Meeting House, Rev. Janet Travers officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenwood Square Union Meeting House, Parkinson's Foundation of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
